Basic rolled brim hat (beginner)
In this workshop, Paula will guide you through several techniques that allow you to create a basic rolled brim hat (to go with the 5,423 scarves you’ve made!). Skills taught/reviewed in this workshops include casting on, working with double pointed needles, knitting in the round, and decreasing. This is a cute, quick hat that would be a great holiday gift!
The workshop comes with a workshop kit which includes everything you will need to complete this project:
- Drawstring bag
- Original pattern by The Island Yarn Company
- Enough yarn to complete the hat (acrylic or wool, your choice)
- Size 10 Double Pointed Needles
- Darning needle for weaving in ends
- 1 stitch mark for marking the beginning of your round
Cost of workshop: $40 (with acrylic yarn in kit) or $45 (with 100% wool in kit)

If you send an email, please include your name, phone number, email, and fiber choice. Also please try to arrive a few minutes early the first day of the workshop to choose your yarn color.
**Don’t forget, Paula holds a drop-in class directly after the workshops from 2pm to 3pm, so if you need extra help with the workshop project or help with another project, she is available. The drop-in class is an additional $10/hour.
